We are a network of women-led savings schemes linking up residents across Greater Manchester and Sheffield to share ideas, experiences and strategies for reducing poverty in our neighbourhoods, towns and cities.

Our groups help bring people together to save, support people in the community and to take action on the priorities of local residents.

We rely on donations and fundraising to support and expand the groups and the network, from providing digital skills training during the pandemic, to advocating for older residents to enjoy a dignified and engaged life in their communities.

Please support our vital work with a regular or one-off donation.*

“Saving isn’t just about the money. It’s about bringing people together – and bringing people together to do things – to take action.” Sharon Davis, Mums’ Mart Savers.

You can also donate to one of the savings groups directly by contacting them via one of the group portals on our home page.

Support CLASS

Community Led Action and Savings Support (CLASS) provides capacity building, fundraising, and strategic support to the Community Savers network.

CLASS supports the member groups in the network to create partnerships with the formal world on more equal terms creating platforms through which they can co-produce solutions to challenges in their communities. An example is the Ageing Well in Place partnership catalysed by Hopton Hopefuls and On Top of the World in Hulme.

CLASS is led by the priorities of the majority women leadership across the Community Savers movement. It is staffed by a Development Manager – Dr Sophie King – and a fantastic group of volunteers. Help us build the team!

Support CLASS with a regular or one-off donation.*
