Wythenshawe Central Network

Wythenshawe Central Network is a resident-led, constituted membership association that brings together tenants and residents, community groups and local projects to have a stronger collective voice on the development of the Wythenshawe area.

Working with urban design consultants, our main focus has been gathering the priorities of local residents and working with development partners with the aim to create a platform for community-influence within the Wythenshawe Civic Centre redevelopment.

We have held three open community-led workshops to date which have included thematic mapping of residents’ priorities, hopes and fears, alongside learning more about what the development process will entail.

As a women-led neighbourhood network, we seek to bring together residents, community groups, and poverty reduction projects in Wythenshawe Central and surrounding areas to take action that improves the lives of women and families.
