Community Savers is a network of community based associations.
Weekly savings meetings are the glue that hold us together. All of our members ‘save for a purpose’ saving small amounts of money for personal or household goals.
Over time, our members begin to recognise that many of us experience similar problems…
And these problems are linked to gaps in services and facilities or inequalities experienced by our community. This is when we begin to organise collectively; using our collective voice for change.
OUR LEADERSHIP
Committee members of affiliated Savings Groups and Neighbour-hood Networks make up the Community Savers Leadership.
The Leadership come together to share learning, experiences and ideas, and to make collective decisions.
Six elected Leaders from across the network work closely with the CLASS staff team to advise, make decisions and help plan and facilitate leadership meetings and events. Leaders also serve on the CLASS Board of Trustees with two representatives holding seats at any one time.
