Meet the team…

Sophie
Sophie is Director of CLASS and tries not to let that keep her from direct work with inspiring and committed community leaders. Sophie co-founded CLASS with some of the original Community Savers leadership in 2019, adapting ideas from Shack/Slum Dwellers International’s model of community federation-support agency ‘alliance’. Sophie has spent the last 20 years working with communities to explore ideas, strategies, and methodologies for building community, amplifying community voice, and co-producing solutions that address intersecting inequalities.

Kate
Kate is Operations Manager for CLASS and has worked in the charity sector in a number of different organisations including those focusing on mental health and supporting the older community. In her role at CLASS, she is focused on overseeing daily operations, supporting the Savers Network, financial administration and volunteer coordination.

Ieva
Ieva is our Community Action Facilitator (Manchester). She facilitates community-led processes in Miles Platting and Wythenshawe and supports the Community Savers network with a variety of learning exchanges and events. Ieva enjoys learning about how best to support community leaders to catalyse change within their local area.

Hannah
Hannah is the Project Lead for Social Homes for Manchester (SH4M), a campaign initiated by Community Savers networks which has grown into a city-wide coalition. She draws on three decades of involvement in participatory action and community-led campaigns to support the SH4M partners, whose goal is to speed up the creation of environmentally sustainable social housing.

Menna
Menna is an Independent Living Worker supporting older adults living at height to live safely, confidently and independently within their communities. She works closely with individuals to help them access housing support, community services and practical resources that improve their wellbeing and day-to-day independence.
As part of her role, Menna carries out risk assessments, safeguarding assessments and Duty to Refer processes, ensuring individuals receive the appropriate protection and support when needed.
Menna is passionate about helping people maintain their independence, dignity and connection to their community.
