Brinnington Savers

We are women from the community who came together to raise money for medical equipment for local families in need and volunteered for Stockport Homes as part of a local food club. Some of us took part in a knowledge exchange with the other Community Savers groups in the network and in 2018 committee members visited a Kenyan savings movement in Nairobi to learn about how they bring local residents together to have a stronger voice over neighbourhood development. 

Brinnington savers meet every Saturday for an informal weekly savings meeting where local residents can get together over a brew.
